The underlying technology
All of our products are built upon the same patented skin delivery platform. We are able to blend and suspend ingredients within a single emulsion for application to the skin, whereupon the body’s own electro-static charging properties promote the formation of distinct layers.
The central layer is a fine polymer which divides the “skin-side” and “air-side” ingredients, and with our infection control products we describe this as an “invisible glove”. This film is washable and is one of the keys to long-lasting protection. On the skin-side we deliver emollients and moisturisers to promote healthy hands; on the air-side we deliver active ingredients and surfactants to kill pathogens and keep the skin clean for hours.
With our wound care products the principle is similar – deliver nutrients to the wound site and lock-out pathogenic intrusion. Our products provide the healthiest possible environment for the skin.
Nobel Laureate, Dr. Joshua Lederberg originally commissioned the research, inspired by his work as a molecular biologist. The technology has been in continual development in the US over the last 14 years and is trademarked under the name Nouristrattm.
